No. Joining and taking part in pattern tests does not require a Maker subscription. The separate Maker plan is £15 a year for the future personal pattern viewer; personal PDF tools are not available yet.

The tier is final once published. Normal pass or subscription expiry never removes published features or maker access.

Designers approved during beta are Pioneers. Qualifying lifetime Studio access is granted by Alpacora; there is no Pioneer pricing tier.
